Unless you are trying to fall pregnant you should take all necessary precautions against pregnancy.

Fifty-one percent of Australian women will experience an unplanned pregnancy during their lifetime.  You should never rely on someone else to “be prepared”.

Northern Territory

ACT

If you think you might be pregnant you can contact Sexual Health and Family Planning ACT on 02 6247 3077 for assistance with pregnancy testing and information on counselling.

Western Australia

If you think you might be pregnant you can contact Pregnancy Support or the Women’s Health and Family Services on 08 6330 5400, or toll free on 1800 998 399 outside Perth Metro area, for assistance with pregnancy testing and information on counselling.

NSW

If you think you might be pregnant you can contact Family Planning NSW for assistance with pregnancy testing and information on counselling.

Victoria

If you think you might be pregnant, speak to your local GP, or you can contact Family Planning Victoria for assistance with pregnancy testing and information on counselling.

South Australia

Unplanned pregnancies do happen and every woman has the right to make her own decision.

The Pregnancy Advisory Centre provides services for women with unplanned pregnancy. Phone 08 2433 3999 or for SA Country freecall, 1800 672 966.

SHine SA provides a Women’s Information Service on 08 8303 0590 or a toll free for country callers on 1800 188 171 to assist women in the process of making a decision regarding an unplanned pregnancy.

Tasmania

If you think you might be pregnant you can contact Family Planning Tasmania on 03 6273 9117 (Hobart), 03 6343 4566 (Launceston) or 03 6431 7692 (Burnie), or send an email to info@fpt.asn.au.
